I am an oceanologist passionate about the oceans. Therefore, my passion for beach sand was just a matter of time. Since 1991, when I entered university, I started collecting sand samples from beaches where I lived and traveled. Since then, the collection has grown. Many of the samples were collected by me, while others were donated by great friends throughout this time. Now with the collection organized and always growing, I am publishing it on this website, so that other collectors or curious people can get to know it.
